MICROCHIPPING

In NSW all cats and dogs must be microchipped. Dogs also need to be registered with the local council.

Inserting a tiny electronic chip under you pet’s skin is essential to your peace of mind. The microchip is a unique identifier so if your pet is found and has lost their collar, any vet will be able to cross-check a centralised database and you’ll be reunited. What a relief!

The process is quick and permanent. It’s no more painful than an immunisation injection and it can save your pet’s life just as surely.

New pets sold or given away must be already microchipped and lifetime registered. Keep this in mind if you are buying a pet or if your pet gives birth and you are giving away the offspring. You can have the microchipping done at the same time as the pet is immunised.
